Zimbabwean dance classes in Oakland!

African Dance of Zimbabwe

Shona dance brings people together to celebrate life, to pray, to
heal, and to grow. The steps are grounded and rhythmic. The music
ranges from drumming to melodic. The classes often have guest
teachers and musicians from Zimbabwe and the Chinyakare Ensemble.

Classes Monday 6pm and Wednesday 7pm. All classes are all levels and ages, drop-ins welcome!

Taught by Ronnie Daliyo (artist-in-residence from Zimbabwe).
Wednesdays, 7pm

Ronnie Daliyo was principal dancer with Mhembero Dance Company for ten years.
